Our Mission

Verlae's mission is simple: give families — however they're shaped — a shared, private place to run their household, so no single person has to carry the entire mental load alone.

That mission is deliberately broad. Families that share children across two homes. Blended families juggling two sides of a household. Busy families with more activities than hours. Single parents with no one else to hand things to. We built Verlae because every one of these families deserves an operating system for daily life, not just another calendar app.

Why We Built It

I have four children. Two stepdaughters who move between our home and their other parent's. And two little ones of my own who have no interest whatsoever in waiting for me to finish a thought.

Before any of this, I spent years running operations for busy organisations. My job was making sure everyone knew what they needed to know, and nothing got missed. I was good at it.

What I didn't expect was how completely that skillset would desert me the moment I walked through my own front door.

I'd built operational systems for organisations for years. I knew exactly what the problem was. I just couldn't believe nobody had solved it for families. So I built what I actually needed: a proper operational system — a shared command centre that means the mental load is visible, distributed, and no longer the sole responsibility of one exhausted person.
